Overgrown is a little return to watercolour for me. I love trying new mediums, but I also love finding my way back to the ones that feel familiar. It had been a while since I’d used watercolour, and painting with it brought me back to my earlier art days, when I would make colourful cartoon Disney character paintings.

This piece feels close to where I’m at right now: a little chaotic, a little messy, but always trying to grow in my own way. Overgrown is for anyone outgrowing an old version of themselves, finding the courage to try something new, or simply someone who loves flowers - including yourself.

The paper itself is a high‑quality, archival stock with a beautifully tactile surface, and the deckled edges emphasise its bespoke, hand‑crafted nature.

This is a one‑of‑one original artwork – once sold, it will not be replicated.

Works in soft pastel should be framed behind glass to protect the delicate pastel surface. Ink and charcoal on archival cotton rag naturally resist yellowing over time, so the piece keeps its gentle, muted tones.
